Natarang is Abhinaya's annual celebration of theatre, a day where we bring together the work, people and stories that define our relationship with the stage.
From full-length plays to short performances, from mono acts to dialogues, Natarang brings together different forms of theatrical expression under one roof.
It is not a competition. It is not a showcase of numbers.
It is simply our day for theatre.
Natarang Edition 01
In April 2026, Abhinaya began something we hope will continue for years to come.
The first edition of Natarang brought together 4-5 theatrical performances across different formats: a full-length 45-minute play, a 25-minute short play, mono acts and two-person performances.
Different stories. Different performers. Different ways of looking at a stage.
One shared purpose: to perform.
Natarang 01 was the start of an annual tradition at Abhinaya, a day where we pause everything else and dedicate ourselves entirely to theatre.

Theatre is not just
what happens on stage.
Every production begins long before the lights come on.
It begins with a script being read for the first time. With an actor discovering a character. With a director asking, “What if?” With rehearsals that run longer than planned. With mistakes, rewrites, arguments, laughter and repetition.
And eventually, with the moment when the lights go down and the story begins.
Natarang is a celebration of all of that.
